Sale of Land by public tender

Take notice that tenders are invited for the purchase of the Tax sale properties Calvin – Ontario land(s) described below and will be received until 3:00 p.m. local time on the 17th day of October, 2016, at the Municipal Offices, 1355 Peddlers Drive, R.R. #2, mattawa, Ontario, P0H 1V0.
The tenders will then be opened in public on the same day at 3:30 p.m. at the Municipal Offices.

Description of Land(s):
PCL 26648 SEC NIP; PT LT 36 CON 11, calvin, PT 2 36R3901; calvin. district of nipissing. being all of PIN 49111-0020 (LT). roll # 48 22 000 001 46115.
Minimum Tender Amount: $34,721.43
Tenders must be submitted in the prescribed form and must be accompanied by a deposit in the form of a money order or of a bank draft or cheque certified by a bank or trust corporation payable to the municipality and representing at least 20 per cent of the tender amount.
Except as follows, the municipality makes no representation regarding the title to or any other matters relating to the land to be sold. Responsibility for ascertaining these matters rests with the potential purchasers.
By virtue of the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended, the registration of a Tax Deed vests in the transferee an estate in fee simple in the above-noted land together with all rights, privileges and appurtenances and free from all estates and interests except,
easements and restrictive covenants that run with the land,
any estates and interests of the Crown in right of Canada or Ontario, other than an estate or interest acquired by the Crown in right of Ontario due to an escheat or forfeiture under the Business Corporations Act or the Corporations Act, and
any interest or title acquired by adverse possession by abutting landowners before registration of a Tax Deed.
This sale is governed by the Municipal Act, 2001, as amended and the Municipal Tax Sales Rules, as amended, made under that Act. The successful purchaser will be required to pay the amount tendered plus accumulated taxes and the relevant land transfer tax.
The municipality has no obligation to provide vacant possession to the successful purchaser.
Note: H.S.T. may be payable by successful purchaser.
